Kris Siuba has represented the handsome Light-Sport Aircraft Topaz from Ekolot for several years but he wasn’t a solo pilot until just before his 9-hour flight to Sun ‘n Fun 2014. We speak with Kris and have a look around the Topax with its excellent finish work. For those seeking something a bit different or for those looking for an aircraft that shows great stye, this might move your spirit. (If you attend the Midwest LSA Expo at the beginning of every September — an hour east of St. Louis — come find Kris and Topaz).

I noted an incorrect web address for the US site I thought I’d pass along.
ekolotamericas.com instead of ekolotamerica.com

Hi Sir ,
I am new owner of second hand Topaz KR-030 in France. That is a wonderfull machine but Landing gear is very fragile.
Many problem with that in France because this light plane is not very easy to land in wind conditions. It stalls very quickly if you raise the nose to land like another airplane. It my problem. Do some of your customers know this difficulty that can result in broken landing gear, for example? Do you have in USA spécial landing gear for this plane (more strong original gear)? Do you have some complaint with this?
Thanks!
Best regards

Hello Jean Marie: I edited your comment and hope I kept your original meaning. I regret you are having problems landing the Topaz. In my experience it was very easy to land, but I did not fly in strong weather conditions. I am writing from the website and not from Topaz. I hope they will see this reply, but I suggest you contact them directly. Here is their contact info. Merci beaucoup for visiting ByDanJohnson.com!
