Most pilots seem to love engines. Well, no surprise as (except for gliders) it is a powerplant that allows us to go aloft and see the world from our unique perspective. In this video we look into the Suzuki engine conversion to an aircraft engine. Speaking with Aeromomentum proprietor Mark Kettering, we learn more about this Japanese auto engine and how you can use it on your kit-built aircraft. Lots of info here and we tell you how you can get even more.

I am currently building a Zenith 701 from scratch. I’m a machinist and mechanic so building my own engine won’t be a problem. I am a bit concerned about making a gear reduction unit so i am wondering if there is one available for a Suzuki four cylinder.

This is one of the more promising auto engine conversions. I’m looking forward to their AM10 conversion of the Toyota 1KR-FE 3 cylinder engine.
BTW, Aeromomentum has a Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/aeromomentum/

Will your prop reduction unit work on other engines
Dan Johnson says
Roosevelt: I urge you to use links in the article and pose questions directly to AeroMomentum, however, be advised they are headed to Sun ‘n Fun for this next week.

Hi Dan , can you give me an idea of cost for a sonex installation. Also can you supply the engine mount for this older Sonex taildrager? I would be interested in the 117 hp engine.
Dan Johnson says
Hi Lloyd: ByDanJohnson.com is pleased to bring you news, video, and more …but not engine hardware. The fine people at Sonex can answer all your questions. Please see their right or left column banners.

Do you make an engine mount to fit your engine on a 4 year old tail dragger sonex, and if so, at what cost?
